Arch Lofts is a standout boutique conversion in Toronto’s Junction Triangle, blending the soulful character of early-20th-century architecture with the clean, modern design sensibilities today’s buyers love. Completed in 2018 by Windmill Developments, the project reimagines the historic Perth Avenue Methodist Church and its adjacent schoolhouse into a limited collection of contemporary lofts. Architecture firm Caricari Lee Architects led the thoughtful redesign, ensuring the original brickwork, arches, and heritage elements were preserved while incorporating modern materials and structural updates.

The development consists of two unique buildings—the heritage Church building and the contemporary Vestry addition—rising 3 storeys and housing a total of 39 units. Floor plans range from efficient one-bedrooms to expansive multi-level lofts, with sizes typically spanning 500 sq.ft. to over 1,500 sq.ft. depending on the wing. Interiors were crafted with a minimalist aesthetic, featuring clean lines, premium millwork, sleek cabinetry, and the warm textures that come naturally from adaptive reuse: exposed brick, tall arched windows, and dramatic ceiling heights.

Many suites offer private outdoor space—balconies, terraces, or rooftop patios—with views of the surrounding tree-lined streets. And as a deliberately small-scale development, Arch Lofts offers a quiet residential feel rarely found in Toronto’s larger loft conversions.
