Renting in a purpose-built building.
What is a purpose-built rental?
It’s a building designed, owned and run as rental housing by one landlord, rather than a condo where each suite has its own owner. Management and maintenance are on site, and there’s no individual owner who might sell your suite or move back in.
Is your help free for renters?
No. Our help is free for renters. We’ll check what’s open in your budget, compare incentives across buildings, book your tours and help with your application.
What do I need to apply?
Most buildings ask for photo ID, proof of income such as an employment letter or recent pay stubs, and consent to a credit check. In Ontario, a landlord can ask for the first month’s rent and a deposit of up to one month’s rent for the last month. If you’re new to Canada or self-employed, tell us early and we’ll point you to the buildings that fit.
Can I negotiate rent or incentives?
Rental buildings often run move-in offers, such as free months on select suites, and those offers change often. We keep track of what each building is offering and tell you which suites have the best current terms before you tour.
Are pets allowed?
All four buildings on this page welcome pets, and each has pet amenities such as a dog run or pet spa. Ask us about size or breed rules for a specific building.
Are furnished suites or shorter leases available?
Leases at these buildings are usually 12 or 24 months, and some offer furnished suites. Tell us your dates and we’ll check what’s open.
